About Michael Rose
Holding dual board certification in general and plastic surgery, Dr. Michael Rose currently sees patients at The Plastic Surgery Center in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Dr. Rose possesses a particular skill with complex nerve decompression surgery, a specialized technique utilized by a select group of surgeons to treat neuropathy. He focuses much of his work on reconstructive operations for patients recovering from cancer surgery or deforming accidents. Dr. Michael Rose utilizes the latest technologies and equipment to perform breast augmentations, tummy tucks, and similar procedures as well as the gamut of facial surgeries.
An alumnus of the New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Michael Rose graduated with his Doctor of Medicine and subsequently completed a residency in general surgery at the school’s Medical Center. Dr. Rose excelled in the program, serving as the Executive Chief Resident in his final year while also contributing to the institution as a Teaching Assistant and Clinical Instructor. For his efforts, he received the Theodore Barnett Memorial Teaching Award. Dr. Rose also completed a three-year residency in plastic surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine prior to initiating his career with The Plastic Surgery Center.
Since settling in New Jersey, Dr. Michael Rose has gained affiliation with nine medical centers throughout the region, including Monmouth Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Riverview Medical Center, and the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Rose plays varying roles at these facilities, serving as the Chief of the Division of Hand Surgery at Jersey Shore Medical Center. As a leading member of the medical community, he has garnered accolades as a Best Doctor in the New York Metro Area from Castle Connolly for seven consecutive years.
